Livingway Manchester is a residential development that reimagines the living experience through a series of landscape-led amenity spaces designed to foster community, wellbeing and everyday life. Forming part of the wider Upperbanks regeneration, the project responds to the surrounding courtyards and public realm, creating a seamless transition between the exterior landscape and the shared spaces within.

The design is inspired by the site's extensive planting and pedestrian routes, blurring the boundary between inside and out to create a calm and welcoming environment. Warm natural materials, terracotta tones and textured finishes establish a rich yet understated palette that feels engaging and stabilizing. Large glazed openings maximise daylight while strengthening visual connections to the surrounding landscape, encouraging residents to engage with the building and its wider setting.

A double-height reception forms the social heart of the development, leading to a network of lounges, communal dining areas and flexible social spaces that support a variety of everyday activities. At the centre of the wellbeing offer is the Garden Studio, a dedicated retreat for relaxation and mindfulness that embodies the project's landscape-led philosophy. Together, these spaces create a cohesive resident journey across multiple buildings, establishing a recognisable identity centred on comfort, community and contemporary living.
